Stripper Scarf 2

this is the top view of my stripper scarf. its know as the naughty/ nice scarf in the Son of a Stich 'n Bitch knitting book by Debbie Stoller. but i like my name more.

this is an illusion scarf, like my alien one ([link]) it looks like stripes straight on but if you look at it at an angle you see the hidden image.

i tried so hard to find yarn that was Orange, Red and Yellow blend but i couldnt! if i did it had pink it in and that doesnt seem very manly. Ha ha ha. So i found this one called forest with dark green, light green, orange, and red and i thought it looked manly! so tad da! the stripper scarf was made.

a lot of effort went into this scarf. i had to redraft the pattern (my yarn was too thick) which ment drawing it out (also for future reference if i didnt have the book) on 3 pages per chart (there was 2)
also after completing the first half of the scarf you were suppose to leave it and start again and then do a three needle bind off. and from my experience that makes it lie funny because it goes skinny then back out near the bind off and the ends. so i just kept knitting and flipped the chart #2 upside down. in doing this i messed up 3 times and had to start again. so in that was it was a pain.

another way it was a pain was 2 days before completing it i took it to my mom's boyfriends house to work on incase i got bored (there was their crazy puppy, max, so that never happened) but when i went to sit down to work on it i stepped onto the size three metal knitting needle! OUCH! it bled a lot but i was on white carpet so i didnt know what to do, so i stopped the bleeding with my thumb, grabbed a tissue incase it started again and to clean a bit, then waited for my mom to come back and show me where the bandaids are. (off topic notes why are the called BAND aids, were they invented for bands?)

so there is sweat, tears (of frustration) and blood in this scarf. and i dont even know who im gonna give it too, i just made it just because.
